Big Island Campground

When we purchased our Scamp in Backus, Minnesota, we knew it would be a long drive back home, so we decided to stop in Albert Lea, Minnnesota and try our new camper in Myre-Big Island State Park.  That was four years ago, and we finally made it back.  This trip we had a little more time to explore the park and some of it's features.  The photos above are from 2012 and are of the Big Island Campground.  It is the older of the two campgrounds, and it is quite a bit more wooded than the other campground. 



White Fox Campground

The White Fox Campground is on the mainland, just a little north of the Big Island Campground.  It is the newer of the two and has a more modern look to it.  It does have a mix of heavy shade, light shade, and no shade.  It also has a site that has a permanent tent already setup for use.  The photos above are from 2013.
