Jay Cooke State Park 2008

In 2008 we had decided to change our anniversary plans.  We were originally going to go to Gettysburg, but since we had recently purchased our Scamp, we thought a trip to the North Shore of Lake Superior would be a better choice.

Our first stay over was Jay Cooke State Park in Minnesota.  We had been wanting to get back to the park and we thought this would be a good time.  We only spent one day there, and were only able to get in one good hike, but it was a good hike to start the trip off with.  The river in the pictures is the St. Louis River, also known as the Root Beer River.

One feature about our Scamp that I really enjoy is the fact that we can park it in just about any campsite, regardless if it were built for big RVs or tents.
