In mid-July of 2008, we were treated to a wonderful camping experience: staying
in an RV. My brother had been given use of an RV, from his place of
employment, and we decided to utilize it while attending a medieval re-enacting
event in Winterset, Iowa. We found Lake Ahquabi was close to the event
site, so we decided to stay there. It was a fun camping event, but I
realized how much I enjoyed having a hard roof over my head that Saturday night
as a storm moved through the area. Thus began our quest to find the
perfect camper. One that would be comfortable enough to stay in, easy to
store and take care of, and most importantly of all, be able to be pulled by our
current fleet of vehicles. Of course, we found our Scamp.
