Memorial Day 2012

This year, camp seemed to be a bit more lively than in the last few years.  While our group was about the same size as in the past, more campers turned out in the park this year.  One of the changes for us this year was our guest, Mystic.  We were fostering a Maltese and decided to bring her along on the trip.  Of course there was the new interesting game being played around camp called "String Theory".  The object was to untangle yarn and turn it into a usable ball.  This was invented while attending an SCA event a couple of years ago.

I decided to take the canoe along with us again this year.  Was not entirely sure if I would get a chance to use it, but turns out that Sunday was a pretty good day for it.  I did not get a chance to use the camera as much this time.  The wind was blowing a bit more than usual, which made river navigation a bit more challenging, and the water was down enough that we ended up bottoming out more than a couple of times.  It was still a wonderful trip down the river.
