If you are planning on taking a trip to the North Shore of Lake Superior, I recommend taking a little time and stopping by Two Harbors.  It has a nice little downtown, a historical lighthouse, and an active ore loading dock.  We usually stop by the harbor and take a walk out on the breakwater protecting the loading docks.  Unfortunately, this time out we didn't get to see any ships coming in, but it's still fun to go out and sit along the shore and watch the activity.
