Pilot Knob State Park, IA, April 19-21

Another early start for the year. We decided
to try a different site this time, pull thorough
that is, instead of the regular back in. The
site also had fresh gravel laid which was really
nice.

Second week back at Pilot Knob State Park.
Just a quiet weekend getaway again. I ended up
using the a pull through site again since I was by
myself and had recently undergone back surgery to
correct a disk issue.

For
the third outing of the year, we decided to head to
Dolliver State Park in Iowa. We had a good
over view of the Des Moines River that was
overflowing the banks and through the park.

Wyalusing State Park, July 4th

For
the Forth of July, we made it back to Wyalusing
State Park in Wisconsin. This was the maiden
voyage for the new transmission for the truck.
Back in June, on a trip down south with our family,
the first day of the trip, we ended up having to
leave the truck for repairs when the transmission
failed. Unfortunately, we had to leave the
camper behind as well because we could not get a
rental that would allow us, or had the capability,
to tow the Scamp. Thankfully, our family had
room in their camper for us and the trip continued,
minus the Scamp.
Of
course, what is camping without camping buddies?
Willie, the cat, joined our team the year before,
and Sammy was still happy to be camping with us.
Well, as long as we are around, he is happy
anywhere.

Pilot Knob State Park, Labor Day Weekend
(Click Thumbnails for Larger Picture)
Labor Day found us back at Pilot Knob State Park
with family. This year, the campground was
extremely full as compared to the past few years
that we camped here. It is nice to have a
small camper that allows us to utilize our space
much more efficiently.

Temperance River State Park, Minnesota,
September 21-29
(Click Thumbnails for Larger Picture)
For
the fall trip, we went back to Temperance River
State Park in Minnesota. It was a beautiful
site with a view of the lake just across the road.
Just an FYI, make sure you reserve yours sites as
soon as possible as the sites fill up fast.
