Pine Lake State Park, IA May 10 - 12

This was our first time to Pine Lake State Park in Eldora, IA.  Our usual plans for Dolliver State Park had been cancelled due to highwater.  But it gave us a good chance to checkc this park out with our family.  Good trails and nice facilities.  Best of all, great weather.

Grant River Recreational Area June 6 - 9

We spent our June vacation back at Grant River Recreational Area again.  We even got the same site.  This year it was a bit windy and stormy at times, but it made the camping adventure even more interesting.  But Charlie didn't seem to be bothered by it too much.

We  even had a bit of a tire  issue before leaving, unfortunately.  The left side tire was completely flat.  Thankfully I had a portable tire compressor and was able to re-inflate it for the trip home.  The interesting thing part was the tire was low before going to Pine Lake, but when we can back, and a week later before leaving for Grant River, the tire was fine.  Must have been sitting just right to seal the leak when parked at those two locations.  Still can't figure out how I got a nail in the tire when it doesn't really "travel" like my other vehicles do.

Wyalusing State Park, WI June 30 - July 8

The 4th of July was back at Wyalusing again.  I love the park because of the views, the trails, and no fireworks.  Those have gotten to be a bit much at home when it's not a holiday.  I also caught the water line of a storm moving by.  You can see it a bit in the second photo.  And of course, Charlie was living the Cat's life again.

My  minor little adventure this time started when I pulled in on Friday night.  It had just finished raining and the spot I usually park the trailer was a mud pit.  I had to maneuver the trailer around that, that's why it looks like it's nearly parked in the bushes.  Doing this, in the dark, I lost part of my flashlight in the dark and could not find it.  I had Lisa bring the nail pickup tool the next day when she came so I could try to find it.  Didn't find it that way, but I discovered why the camper got a nail in the tire.  There is A LOT of sharp debris at campsites I discovered.

Oh, I did find the part I was looking for after I pulled the trailer forward.  It was right next to the blocks on the left side just inside the tire.  It was just luck that it landed there because when I first parked the trailer it was three feet to the right of it's final location.
