The Vernon Springs Turkey Valley River Park in North East Iowa is a very nice campground located just south of Cresco, Iowa.  Most sites have electric and water hookup and several have concrete pads for parking. 

You will notice the water pump in the last photo.  I got the joy of replacing that this year.  The problem with replacing comes in the way I redesigned the bed.  The surface of the bed is higher so I almost have to stand on my head to get to it to replace it.  I have thought about taking it to a professional to see about adding access doors from the outside to these areas, but that is about as far as I have gone with that idea.

My favorite place to camp for the 4th of July, Wyalusing State Park in Wisconsin.  We have been coming here for years and I hope to continue the tradition for many more years to come.  Especially with sunrises like the one in the first image.  The view never gets old.

We have visited Madeline Island, on the South Shore of Lake Superior a few times, but his is the first time that we camped.  Good news!  The Scamp floats!  Okay...so it is on a ferry, but it still floats.  When the ferry is in high demand, they really know how to "cram and jam".

Sammy and Charlie handled the boat ride okay.  Well, it is not like they had choice, and I do not think Charlie knew he was on water to begin with.

Problem license plate mount has finally been permanently fixed.  I replaced the left rear tail light the last time the right bracket, holding the license plate on, broke.  When it did it again, I  knew what I needed to do to fix it, but I did not have the time.  So I used the handyman's secret tool...duct tape.  It helped, but it bothered me over the years so I decided to fix the holder.  I used a piece of sheet metal, cut it to size, then bent the bottom to be held to the bumper by the rear stabilizing leg bolts.  I held the top to the one remaining good bracket it on the light, then bolted the license plate, in four places.  So far, it seems to have held up really well.  Next will be replacing marker lights and tail lights with new LED assemblies...next year.
